From vintage aerobatic feats recollecting the early 'barnstorming' days to high powered military fighter jets and everything in between, Airshows are a stable of aviation showcase held around the world every year. Either hosted by active military bases or civilian airports, Airshows are one of the greatest pastimes you'll find in America and the world, drawing millions of people each year. After a bit of a hiatus, the Nellis Air Force Base Airshow came back in full swing with an incredible line up of military aircraft. Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the base, the Nellis AFB airshow featuring a look through history with warbirds through the most high tech jets. The USAF Thunderbirds highlighted the event along with the last official USAF airshow demonstration of the QF-4 Phantom!
The first inaugural Huntington Beach Airshow was a huge success! With an action packed line up of performers and incredible view of the world famous Surf City beach, the Huntington Beach Airshow drew out incredible crowds despite the heat and then rain on the final day. With the French Breitling Jet Team sponsoring the show, the performers included the Super Hornet demo, Coast Guard, and the USAF Thunderbirds!
With beautiful morning clouds, a warbird and aerobatic filled show, and classic cars the Apple Valley Airshow 2018 once again put on a great show for residents of the Victorville area. Planes of Fame Air Museum brought up several of their key warbirds along with performers such as John Collver, Tumbling Bear, RV Parade, and much more.
With great weather, the 2016 MCAS Miramar Airshow was a hit with a full schedule of performances from the AV-8b Harrier demo, F-35B Lightning demo, F-16 Viper demo, the French based Breitling Jet Team, the always popular Marine Air Ground Task Force, and concluding with the US Navy Blue Angels! A special treat was the QF-4 Phantom on display just months before the official retirement.
With nearly three full airshow days, the world famous Planes of Fame Air Museum Airshow pulled out all the usual (and more) awesome punches with a gathering of P-40 Warhawks this year and highlights such as a Pearl Harbor anniversary reenactment, Golden Age of Flight Twilight Show, Yak Aerobatics, Texas Flying Legends (first time at Planes of Fame!), F-16 Demo Team, and much much more!
After a 3 year absence, the March ARB Airshow (Thunder over the Empire) is back in full swing! With the headlining USAF Thunderbirds and a full day of aviation acts, the 2016 airshow was quite the event! An incredible amount of static aircraft came from all over the west coast including many giant cargo aircraft on display. Warbirds, aerobatics, and modern jet aircraft roared through the skies for huge crowds.
The LA County Airshow is quickly becoming one of the premiere airshows on the west coast. With an impressive lineup of acts, this year's airshow brought in huge crowds to see performers from all over the country. Acts included the Texas Flying Legends, Tora Tora Tora reenactment, Planes of Fame warbirds, the US Navy Blue Angels, and Edwards AFB sent aircraft over for fly-bys! One of the best airshows of 2016!
The NAF El Centro isn't just a kick off of the airshow season for military bases, it serves as the kick off for the US Navy Blue Angels with their first airshow always being at NAF El Centro since the base is their winter training home. This year, the El Centro Airshow included warbirds from the CAF, Red Eagles Formation Team, many aerobatic acts, Planes of Fame warbirds, and the headliners; the Blue Angels!
