like someone said, rotate display.
and if you don't have that nice 21st stand. you could do what i do when i go to model shows.
get a cardboard box just a little taller then tail of plane, cut slots for wings & tail to stick out, put foam on box where wings and tail set. i use foam tubing that is for wrapping water pipes under houses, from walmart hardware dept.you can stack about ten planes in closet. P-38 would fit in American car 12 pack oilfilter box that can be had at any auto parts store for free
