They promised not to sign a separate peace with the Germans. They would have been able to carry on the fight easily from the colonies. They could have been a huge help in clearing the Italians out of Africa before the Afrika Corps was sent. The larger view is that with some action in 1938 they were able to stop the Nazis in their tracks and could have avoided the European side of WW2 and truely been a country to look up to...not just in their minds but in their actions.

As for the Italians...what would the Germans have accomplished it they did not get involved in Italian sideshows in Greece, Yugoslavia, N. Africa, Crete etc. If Barbarrosa started 2 months earlier..??? Again, with friends like these......

did the french have an army?
as Patton said "I would rather have 3 German divisions in front of me than one French division behind me!"
LOL!. hey...I have a French rifle for sale, it's never been fired and only dropped once.

All kidding aside, some French would be great. Also love some Russians and some ANZACS

I know no French people personally really, and didn't fight in World War 2 to formulate my opinions on them as warriors... So I can't say they're bad soldiers.

I'd take figures of them though. Be cool. I'd kind of dig seeing a French soldier's uniform and things for the ETO after D-Day.
