They promised not to sign a separate peace with the Germans. They would have been able to carry on the fight easily from the colonies. They could have been a huge help in clearing the Italians out of Africa before the Afrika Corps was sent. The larger view is that with some action in 1938 they were able to stop the Nazis in their tracks and could have avoided the European side of WW2 and truely been a country to look up to...not just in their minds but in their actions.snake wrote:Well the French collapse during the 1940 Blitzkreig is not really the issue.
As for the Italians...what would the Germans have accomplished it they did not get involved in Italian sideshows in Greece, Yugoslavia, N. Africa, Crete etc. If Barbarrosa started 2 months earlier..??? Again, with friends like these......
