PTE arrivals at Big Lots
I've heard from the gang over at the PTE forum that there have been some sightings of the newer PTE shipments at Big lots. This sighting was in Lafayette, Indiana.
Guy found the 1/6th set that has the UAV (potentially fun for us 1/18'rs as a larger drone?). He was clearly a 1/6th guy so he didn't pay much attention to the 1/18th stuff but he did see the zodiac boat.
Anyway, please report sightings here because I know a lot of us are looking for the boats, bridges and command centers.
Thanks!

Re: xd
hey you might want to look at marauder inc for those if you want a load as it might work out cheaper then buying a load of sets that you don't need. Thats what i did :kevrut wrote:They didn't have anything at my local Big Lots today.
They have some cool stuff that's pretty cheap.
I sure could use some of those 55 gal. drums for my Buddy L railroad.

Saw a TON of PTE today at Big Lots... I saw:
-Playsets
-Bridges
-Towers
-Howitzers
-SWAT 3-Packs
-Military 3-Packs
-Fire/Rescue 3-Packs
-SWAT Patrol Boat (SEAL Boat?)
Don't recall seeing Littlebirds, Humvee's, or the smaller figure sets like the Bunk set, the tent, the "shelter" and whatnot. Was a little rushed though so I maybe just missed some stuff. Prices were good, nothing over $30. I walked out with a Command Center playset for $30... I'm hoping to get some Howitzers and a couple or a few bridge sets.
Is the Howitzer to-scale? Looked it to me... would be good for WW2, no?

Checked my local Big Lots yesterday and found ONLY the howlitzer.
Really want to get that bridge and maybe a command post.
I got the command post several years ago through Sears or KayBee.
It comes with scads of extras - PTE figures, folding chairs, map on stand, table, weapons, 50gal drums, vehicles, etc. Most of it is more for a modern display, but the outside of it looks like a slightly war damaged German HQ. Hang a flag down in front of the building and you are set.
Anybody in the Tristate Area (OH, KY, IN) give a shout if you find a bridge or HQ at your local Big Lots.
thanks,

Went to the Aurora, Indiana Big Lots:
Towers
Howitzers
HQ Playset
Various PTE figs with equipment...
But NO Bridges...
Checked out the Florence, KY Big Lots:
They were just stocking the shelves when I was there.
(I think the lady stocking, just hated me...)
They had:
Towers
Howitzers
HQ Playset
Various PTE figs with equipment(not up yet-but in the boxes)
Long Seal Attack Boat
But NO bridges...
I will check back there later.

Oh, this is going to be fun. The one thing I wanted was one of the SWAT dogs. Hit two Pic-n-Saves today (still hate the BL name)
First one - abrams, bridges, 3 packs, single military packs, humvees, howitzers.
Second one - abrams, building, military single packs dune buggies.
No SWAT pooches, no 12in with UAV. And VERY disappointed the 3 packs no longer come with drums and jerry cans. Nope, I'm not getting sucked into hitting Pic-n-saves, not knowing WTF they are going to have stocked. Almost as bad as Walmart.

Cool thing is that with minor tweaking you can join multiple bridges together.

I checked one of the Big Lots stores here in Fresno. They had quite a bit of PTE stuff and alot of it wasn't as corny as I remember. In 1:18 there was the Watch Tower, Little Bird, various Hummers, the M1 Abrams, the Command Center, the A-10, and a bunch of little figure & accessory packs. I picked up some of the figure packs and the watch tower. The figures and some of the weapons are way too toyish for me, but the tower and some of the smaller accessories are great!
Still looking for the bridge, however.
