My "little rant" on BBIs Super Humvee

Post by ww2collecter » Thu Feb 24, 2005 9:36 pm

I was checking a few things out at TRU this evening, while I was there I fiqure I get a BBI 1:18 USMC fiqure, You know, to ride up in the 50.cal of the 2nd Recon Marine Super Humvee. I get home and get him out to set up in the Hummer.
Well first thing.....Why is the 50. mounting setup so chessy. It kept coming off its pole, plus the gun is so D*AMN close to his chest you can't set him up properly. Anyway I gave up on that and figured he can ride "shotgun" on the M240. Well after I got him squared away, I look on top of the hood and it has US ARMY on it. And I thought it was labeled as a Marine 2nd Recon Hummer?
OH Well, no ones perfect. But, Yes the Super Humvee is still worth the $$$$$

I saw the "US Army" label on the Superhummers I saw in a TRU a few weeks ago. Kind of a turnoff for me, but it still isn't as bad as the large "Hummer" corporate label painted on the rear wheel fenders on the origional BBI desert Humvee. Want to talk about accuracy??

Yea, I did'nt notice the ARMY on the hood untill after I owned it for about 2hrs  Really I don't think anyone could tell if its a Army or Marine version and vise-versa for the driver.
Anyone have suggestion for removing the lettering from the hood?
