Boyington Corsair Avaliability
I was just wondering if the 21c Boyington Corsair was no longer a Bad Cat Aviation exclusive? I saw a couple of these at the Hobbytown in Fresno, Ca. I have the Boyington Corsair (having bought it from BCA last June) so there was no mistaking what I saw. The boxes did not have the BCA sticker on them either. It wouldn't surprise me if this was no longer an exclusive, given that's what eventually happened with other 21c "exclusives" such as the BBD Mustang and the Checkernose Corsair. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!
I believe it was mentioned before, but the on-line guys get first dibs on releases for a certain amount of time and then, they are released to stores like Walmart. Note that the Kepford and Galland planes hit the On-line shops and then went on to a limited shot at WM. I bought 2 Boyington Corsairs at BCA, and I'm fine with WM getting them. You know why? What are the chances of me finding them in my AOR? About 50/50.
That is the real power of the On-line fellas. You at least know you can get them there. I still have yet to see a bubbletop or Stuka a WM in my area. Others haven't seen the Kepford or Galland. So as WM distribution inches towards improvement, it still has ways to go. I'm wondering when we will finally see a 109G on store shelves. I got mine from SBP.....
