FAO Schwartz Minnature Hummer Exclusive
You know, we've been puzzling and amazing ourselves over this 1:4 scale ride-on Humvee that 21st will soon be producing...
That suddenly made me remeber an FAO Schwartz special from a few years ago that featured a large (perhaps 1:3 scale) Humvee convertible for little kids. This was essentially a souped-up power wheels toy with all metal construction, an real combustion engine, plush leather seats, and all for the nice cheap price of $35,000. That essentially cost as much as my mother's 1999 Volvo S-70 sedan. I wonder which movie stars or senators purchased one of those little Hummers for their kids? The 21c version should be much, much more affordable

Hhmm, sounds like only the two figures for Sahara, and they are packaged with the vehicles. Well, I doubt a bigger line would have done anything, but would have liked to see some diff figures to populate my 1:18 world. Since last year TRU and Walmart were saturated with Van Helsing figures, I hope they pick up these, just to see if they are even worth buying.

I'm a little puzzled about the "Sahara" vehicles. The catalog shows a Huey (OK), an M-48 (great) and then two Jeeps, one in 1:18 and one 1:6.
My problem is both Jeeps are flad fender WW2 Jeeps and the picture from the movie shows a M-38A1 or even younger style Jeep.
Don't get me wrong, I think any new vehicles are great and I'll snap up both if and when I see them, but I'm still looking for the other 1:6 vehicles still not in Wallyworld. Just like up here.
I just got back from Fla and scouted a super WM and found 1:18 planes and 1:32 Cold Steel scattered all over the toy department. A bunch of Stukas here, Spitfires there. If 21c future is up to such a messy, unorganized outfit as Wallyworld I feel for all of us.
