Cool! Two more great Mustang schemes - and we get "Shangri La" as well 8) I'm down for which ever one I can find, especially Gentile's plane. Even cooler to note that they are TRU exclusives, destined for an early August release!

...oh, and what's the bit about the Mustangs not having screws? There's screw covers on the fuselage of both my 32x Mustangs, but they are well blended with the paintscheme

My Shangri-La is coming! Now, the question is, can someone with the other issue P51D mustangs tell me if you can easily switch out the paper drop tanks for the teardrop ones? Those seem more accurate for this particular plane...I don't expect it to be doable, but I thought I'd ask...

So, at least 6 paint schemes for this model? The best part is, I don't have to go to evil Wal Mart for this one!

It would be doable, though the S1 P-51 tanks are a little small... To switch out the tanks, you would have to remove the tabs on the S1 P-51 "teardrop-style" droptanks and drill a couple of tiny holes so it can fit on the hardpoints on the P-51B. Luckily the droptanks are usually painted a silver or aluminum color, so you can sand and easily paint over any damage to the tank

Hmm I dunno about Bullfrog but Gentile's bird is always a winner! I hope my TRU doesn't drop the ball with these first 21st items and gets them in stock quickly once they are released!

Take a look at the Area21 briefing, via the link in schizuki's post above. It says they are Toys R Us exclusives and are due in early August! However, we all know how those date estimates go

A P-40E or F????? Don't tell me they are gonna make an Aleutian Tigers P-40 with the B/C model because that would suck. I'd be all over an E or later though.

But that is 1:48 scale. I thought it was going to be in 1:32 like the Mustangs. Oh well I'll still get it cause I love that scheme. I already have the white tailed P-40.

I love the Shangri La 51'. I would look good sitting next to my 1/18th Ridge Runner 3 being that they were both from the famous 4th FG. But how long wil they take to hit the shelves? Could be awhile. I hope not but it could be knowing how slow these things get to my area.
