Hallowed “Beep da be Beep” I just noticed that you all have put BBI and Admiral over the 100,000 view mark! I wish I had something worth ready for your efforts!

OK, hear it goes. The next 1:18 model will be a 747-400 by Boeing!, loaded with 300 plus 1:18 passengers and crew. Estimated cost will be… $4,000. I might just be kidding….

Regards,
Jason

Hey Jason!!!
Great to hear about the outing.. I am in Tulsa, and I might be able to make it down there if I can convince the wife she needs to go..

Oh, good old Oklahoma. I used to work in the DA’s office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County Office of the District Attorney. I loved OK and wanted my wife to move there when she graduated law school. But we ended up in DC and finally Houston. But I love your state!

Tell your wife that there are great Outlet Malls on the way to Denton! From OK City it is only a 2.5 hour drive to the site of the party.

Regards,
Jason

We have been to the outlet malls many, many times, and I think it is time we made another trip down there.. I'd like to go just to see Admiral's facility and maybe see if there are any "deals" to be had.. :D :D :D

G'day Jason

You know if there was any possible way that I could swing it, I'd most definitely be on the next plane that was US bound in a heart beat, however the 4th of July is officially my lack of independence day in that this is my wedding anniversary, but that factor would be the least of my concerns as we have just got SolidWorks (CAD) at work and as such I'm now being loaded up with a gazillion model requests and all this on top of my normal workload, so I doubt the boss would let me take leave on such short notice.

You and your wife are both more than welcome, the great thing about bringing along your other half is that the girls could distract each other long enough to let us talk some boy & toy stuff over some frosties (beers).

I can't buy steaks in Wisconson. I would like to see the AT folks in Dayton, but I would think Oshkosh is the better show (can't say for sure because I have never made the trip)

Hey all,

Just saw thihs posting at the MilitaryToyShop.com about the Admiral SBD Dauntless:

"UPDATE FROM MANUFACTURE 07/17/07 MANUFACTURING TROUBLE IN CHINA HAS AGAIN DELAYED DELIVERY. WE WILL WAIT TO ANNOUNCE ESTIMATED ARRIVAL DATE UPON ARRIVAL OF ADMIRAL TOYS REPRESENTATIVE FROM CHINA. WE ARE HAPPILY REFUNDING ANY PRE-PAID ORDERS.
WE ARE SORRY FOR THE DISAPPOINTMENT BUT REST ASSURED THE 1:18 DAUNTLESS WILL JOIN YOUR COLLECTION!"

Sorry to see this bit of news, but at least it is coming eventually. Really looking forward to this one.

Hey Jason, are you going to be at the Dayton Air Show this year or not? I'm still hoping you will make it.

Hello Guys,

Sorry for the bad news! Just a little FYI this is not isolated to just Admiral Toys. I have spoke with other model manufactures and they are having similar issues as AT is with China. The team at Admiral are working hard to get the SBD in our hands and then yours ASAP.

On another note if anyone is going to be at Oshkosh or the Dayton Air show stop by and say hi. We will have big setups at both.

Sorry to hear about the delay, but Admiral making this notification is just another reason they're the great company they are. Major koodoos to MTS for clarifying that this delay applies to other company's also.

It'll be a great ship, I can wait.

I agree. I'd rather wait and have it done right than push it through and end up with quality issues just because the Chinese bureaucrats are still pissed off that we don't believe in feeding melamine to our pets or putting antifreeze in our toothpaste.

I'm sure the silence will be ended with some fantastic news for all of us. Jason mentioned in an earlier post that there was a new facility and some new never done before projects being worked on at this time. That sounds like it's all in addition to what we already know about (Dauntless, Skyraider, F-4). With all of these projects in the works, not to mention or forget the 1/72 line and the new car line, I'm positive without a doubt that the Admiral Toys crew is hard at work getting these projects produced and into our hands. :D
Go Ugly Early in 1/18!!

Still waiting and wishing for a 1/18 A-10 Warthog.
