The new box is different for the larger playsets, but I like it! It is, however, VERY similar to the boxes the most of the figure sets, the mortar sets, the Pak-40, and IG-18 gun sets traditionally came in when they first went to the small retailers. So, there really isn't all the much new with the box display, just that 21c is applying it to a product they really haven't applied it to before

Perhaps this is all just the other way around. Vehicles such as the US & German Halftracks, the Priest, the Sherman, and so on, were avaliable as single items before they appeared in the playsets. The same can be said for the Mortar pits & listening post sets. Perhaps the new Sherman Firefly and Howitzer will appear as single-boxed vehicles later. The Sherman Dozer and Porsche-turret King Tiger already are avaliable as single vehicles.

>>> Yeah , I knew the "Porsche turreted" KT was , but I thought this new ( mini - playset ) concept thing is the way 21st. is headed with it , instead of individually.
Hmmm , "variety" , I hope.
Interesting !

This may sound stupid but just buy some lead fishing weights and glue 'em to the inside of the hull for that "hefty" feeling. you can bang em flat with a hammer. I had some bendable lead weights for my aquarium plants that I glued inside some of my plastic hulled tanks and now they are heavier than Cold Steel.schizuki wrote:All plastic, so it doesn't have that Cold Steel heft, but still nice.

I'll try it. Anyhoodles, here's some crappy pics of the excellent figures:
When you figure that stand-alone tanks are $15, and this playset was $20, that means these six quality figures cost 84 cents each. That's insane. We're living in a golden age, folks. Enjoy it while it lasts.
I agree with you that the playsets are a fantastic buy. Nice pics btw, I was thinking of taking some myself but you beat me to it!
