Question about "Skycaptain" P-40???

Post by hworth18 » Sat Feb 19, 2005 2:21 pm

After watching the movie..(yawn).. and looking at the Movie pic of the P-40 on 21st's website, anyone else notice that the 21st Century P-40 is the WRONG version???? Skycaps P-40 is a later "N" model which is somewhat different than the 21st "B/C" model.. :?

Yea I noticed that too, I guess its just easier for 21st to use thier version instead of producing an "n" (Its cheaper too). Notice all the other details missing as well, no place for Polly, or any of the cool ( ) submarine features.

I'm still tickled that they made this P-40. I remember watching the film and wishing I had my XD P-40, as the flying sequences (though largely unrealistic) were still very cool! Of all the toy companies, 21c was in the best position to replicate the Sky Captain P-40 due to their excellent existing design.
