Custom M113 Work in Progress
I posted some pics online of the M113 I'm working on. So far, it's just been taken apart and the interior painted, as well as sanding the exterior and filling holes.
Here's the link

Let me know if the link doesn't work.

Hi guys...the parts do take some work to get off. Especially the rear fuel tanks....major pain on mine. Masking the parts off to paint is always a chore, but worth it if you take your time. I'm doing the interior a flat white, and the exterior OD green. I'm going to attempt to do a NAM version ACAV with it. I got a lot done this weekend, so I'll post more pics soon.

Hey that’s looking pretty slick! I like the fire extinguisher. I will definitely have to paint my interior white as well.
I came across this today. There are some pictures of the gun shields on this page. http://www.inetres.com/gp/military/cv/inf/M113.html
Can you tell me what the hinged plate in front is for?

Hey Thanks, yeah, I'm happy with it so far......thanks for the cool reference site. I want to convert mine to an ACAV model, but I don't know how in hell I'm going to do the Commander's Cupula. Looks REALLY hard to do. The front shield moves forward in an arc when the vehicle fords water. Not sure if it's to assist in floatation or not. It would certainly help in shots to the front end I think!
