P-51B/C model

Post by Sabrefan » Wed Jun 27, 2007 8:17 pm

Anyone think 21st Century might make a 1/18th scale P-51B/C model? They sure make a nice 1/32nd scale version now. I would love to see this Mustang in 1/18th scale. :D

My guess is that since they already have a B model in 1/32, its probably just a matter of time before we see one in 1/18 scale.

That would be one Mustang I would actually get excited about.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Isn't there one in 21C 1:144 scale as well?

I would think since they have done all that work to create the molds for a 1:32 scale and with the popularity of the Mustang I think it's just inevitable we will see it 1:18. I'm not a toy making expert but I think with the 1:32 scale molds they have laid the ground work already. I know there is an expense in creating the new 1:18 molds but how much additional work would it be...maybe a lot I don't know.

I would love to see a B/C model Mustang in 1/18th and I think its only a matter of time before BBI, Admiral or 21st puts one out. If any of the big 3 as I call them come out with one it will more then likely be 21st. We have enough D model Mustangs now we need a B or a C Mustang.

If they can do a Razorback and Bubbletop version of the P-47 Thunderbolt. Why not a P-51 B/C? I'd like one with British markings please!

Cheers

I couldn't agree more with both of these statements.

Thanks but I've seen plenty of the 1/18th Old Crows and BBDs but none of the new 1/32 mustangs.
