Forum Members Beware of Dishonest EBAY Seller
I just want to tell the Forum Members that I recently was screwed by the seller Cinefulthings. I paid for the items with Priority Mail shipping through Paypal and they sent me Jack Shit. They don't reply to emails or return phone calls. This S.O.B., to put it nicely, stole over $200.00 from me and probably stole from others. Their EBAY name is now cbandcompanysandiego and the owner is a Brandon Gonzalez. If you see any deals with either one of those two names, BEWARE!!!!!!!!! I don't want to see any other members get screwed by this SCUMBAG!!

if you paid within the last 30 days simply reverse your Paypal payment. There is nothing he can do to stop it unless he has proof that it was delivered to you (via tracking number) and you have a confirmed address.
That's why Paypal is such a good way to pay.....they are merciless with the sellers and give the buyer virtual carte blanche when it comes to giving their money back. The problem is there are a lot of scammers out there who have caught onto this and reverse their Paypal payments after they know their item has been shipped.
In fact reversing payment after receipt of goods is now the number one most common form of mail fraud...

In regards to ebay, they have soo much to deal with honestly, the most they do is cancel the members name and auctions, if it can be proven said person has indeed done other members wrong. Unfortunately getting money back via Ebay is impossible, I learned early on not to even bother trying as they change the rules and regulations as they go along so as not to have to be financially responsible...the "Safe Harbor" deal they had was absolute BS. As was mentioned, the best recipe for a deal is as follows:
- Payment with Paypal and make sure address you're sending to is the same address listed with Paypal (shows up on payment email notifications) and don't let the person give you an alternate address, it's usually the first sign that something may not be right?
- If Paypal isn't an option, use a Personal Check or even better a US Postal Money Order.
- If sending an item via trade (obviously not through ebay) then make sure you send via USPS and get signature confirmation and/or Insurance. This way, you have a case of federal mail fraud should things go south with the other party, and thats typically enough to scare persons into making good one way or the other.
