Why no Arab-Israeli Wars stuff?

I dont think it would be a bad idea at all. From the manufacturers' standpoint, however, I believe these types of regional conflicts generally take a back seat to the more global wars fought during the 20th/21st Century. They probably figure sales wouldnt be as strong as a proven commodity like WWII or ODS.

Frankly, I'd love to see more Pacific Theatre equipment from WWII before anything else. I dont think FOV has any at this point and their lone entry in the North African campaign is the Matilda. For the Cold War, there are loads of vehicles that would sell well if they diverged from their retooling strategies and started producing some really unique vehicles. Here's just a few: ZSU Shilka AAV, BMP-1 and -2 IFV, BRDM recon vehicle, T-55 tank, British Warrior IFV, French LeClerc, Israeli Merkava (cant begin to tell you how many people ask us for this), Japanese T-90, Russian T-80u, etc.

I wish someone would give us free reign over their manufacturing facilities so we can get them up to speed quicker. With HM taking the market by storm in the 1:72 and 1:48 scale space, maybe they're the best bet to start offering these types of alternative vehicles in the 1:32 scale regime.

i think the main reason is just a perceived lack of interest among the buying public, by the manufacturers..

This is conjecture on my part, but based upon what I've seen them offer in the 1:56, 1:72 and 1:48 scale regimes, I would guess that their retail pricing might come in below FOV yet above 21st Century. In terms of detail, they might be able to offer excellent detail, although I doubt they would go so far as to include battlefield accessories. Perhaps one tank commander to keep costs down.

What I find curious is why Dragon doesnt offer anything in the way of Arab-Israeli War products in the 1:72 scale space. They already offer a Sherman (in multiple configurations) and a T-34/85. How hard would it be to make some tooling adjustments and repaint them in the appropriate schemes?

Too bad, cause we're a week away from the 40th Anniversary of the 1967 Six-Day War.

I certainly hope that's not the case. It would be a sad commentary on the world if Israeli tank models were considered more offensive than Nazi ones.

A lot of certain powerful groups due find the Jewish state as offensive as the Nazis, like amnesty international, pro Muslim groups ect. ect. And many of those groups worship Hitler. "*except amnesty international" I think it’s a bunch of crap myself.

I think that's a sufficiently balanced, non-controversial way to sum that up and forestall any unwanted and acrimonious debate.
