trickel effect

Post by sarge » Fri May 25, 2007 11:41 am

I guess the dam is ready to pop open as far as WM and it's distributing system goes. Went to my local WM last week and on the shelf sat two Russian Migs not the Chinese versions. Got one of those. :D Went back today and there on the shelf was both Pearl Harbor P-40s, snatched those up :D :D. These are the only 21C items This WM has stocked since Xmas. Even if they are "overstock" from other stores at least I know WM is still in the works.
I hope this is a sign of good things to come for everybody   we've waited long enough.

You all have a great day, and to all of you veterans have an OUTSTANDING one. :D :D :D Sarge

I have the same feeling that one day I'm gonna walk in and see a boatload of new stuff that's still in "production phase" and no official press release.

There have been the same two Russian Migs at my neighboorhood WM for about a month. The only thing that has flooded in is more 1/6 "Street Heat" weapon packs, and I'm still not sure where the heck those are coming from. I bought all the German Wehrmact and DAK figures a while back and all thats left is about 8 D-Day figs. The rest of the WM in my AO are the same way or worse except one which keeps replacing the German figures I buy. :P

i have learned to check "the next isle over" at my local walmart.

for some reason the aircraft have only one or two slots in the "plan-o-gram" of thier shelving...but if i go to the model/ R.C. toy section, on occasion i see several more, stacked up high.

tonight there was 6 russian mig 15s, and 4 (EDIT::not 24, that was a typo whoops!!) of the pear harbour P-40s.. just picked up my first P-40 :)

now if only they will make the A.V.G. "FLYING TIGERS" version. love the sharks mouth and it is so fitting on the P-40.

Hello GAU -8,
I think that you missed the boat on the P-40 AVG. They came out about 2-3 years ago at Wal-Mart. The only way to get them now is on e-bay. :?

GAU-8,
here's a couple pics of my AVG. I think this is the best P-40 out. The Pearl Harbor versions are about like the Langley Field version.

I posted these pics some time last year.

I took a wire hanger and straightened it out, took a bag of cottonballs and ran the wire throught the middle of each cottonball, and then spraypainted it with flat black. (Make a hook at each end of the hanger when done.)

Thanks grunt1 8) ,

Kevin.
