New X32 21st Airplane Repaints?

Post by Bruzzer » Thu Feb 03, 2005 4:45 pm

Hi Everyone,

I went to Walmart today and found new repaints of the x32 airplanes. Price was $14.98 at the S San Jose Wally. Have these been out before?
Me 262 yellow 7
P51 Big Beautiful Doll
Bf 109 tropical

They seem to be the same planes repainted in new boxes - 32xw xtreme wings.

Let me know if you want pictures.

Forgot to mention, back of box shows those 3 planes plus candy cane 190, Eagleston P47 and AVG P40.

Wow! That's news!! 32x planes have never been seen at WM before, only at some TRU's! Thanks for the heads up!

Excellent find! These repaints have been seen at toyfairs, but now they're a reality - and about $5 cheaper than at the small retailers. How did the new ME-262 look? The old one, which I consider to be the best of the 32x planes, followed by the ME-109, was marked in rather plain fashion. I want to get ahold of that 32x Tropical 109, however!

The pictures on the box back don't entirely surprise me either. We have seen the 32x P-40 at toyfairs, and in one of his 21c recon phonecalls, Aferguson alerted us to the possibility of a 32x P-47 and FW-190! Should they soon release a 1:32 "Red 3" 190, that will go very well with either ME-262!

I'll have to check a WM when I go home on president's day weekend.

OK people the pics are on webshots. Click on the website button below. Sorry for the crappy pic but I went for quantity over quality. For the price I really like these planes. Yes the 262 looks nice!

Thanks for the photos and they were pretty good! That ME-262 is simply awesome - light years ahead of the first variant! I also like the looks of the ME-109. Can't wait for the other aircraft pictured on the box either! I will deffinitely get the P-40 and the P-47.

Yes, thanks for the pics!!

Rudolph Sinner's ME-262 does look alot better than the first issue. I can't wait for them to show up in Columbus.

I wonder if they'll do the Stuka? I would really love to have that one in 32X.

Maybe they'll make a 32X Corsair and do a 32X Zeke to "test market" it in a smaller size? One can only hope...

Does the ME-262 pilot still sit too low in the cockpit with his head barely polking over the side or has 21st corrected this minor error?

On my S1 ME-262, I corrected that by removing the pilots arms, slightly narrowing the figure, then regluing the arms so the figure didn't get in the way of the tab on the canopy. I also raised the seatback up a couple of millimeters so that it sat in the correct positon. You can sort of see the results here:

tmanthegreat, I compared it with my S1 262 and its higher. I'd say the pilots a little low but not that bad. The top of pilot is a somewhere between 1/2-2/3 the way up. Nice pics, I really like the 88 pictures.

Thanks! Its nice to know that the corrected that little error. I hope these stick around in Fresno (assuming that since you're finds were in Nor Cal, they have also reached Central Cal) as I deffinitely want to get ahold of that ME-109!

Question regarding stock location?

Post by WGP Klaus » Mon Feb 07, 2005 5:27 am

Just out of curiousity, where were these items stocked? I've noticed that recently our WM's starting stocking the XD at the ends of one of the diecast aisles, where as before they had typically been located on the RC item side of the aisle.

Thanks in advance,
Todd

The ones I found were on the top shelf in one of the girls aisles. Looks like they just found an empty space. Sorry maybe somebody else will have a better answer.

I found the new 32X airplanes yesterday at Wally's on Morse Rd. in Columbus.

I think that they come 6 to a case (2 of each). There was 2 of each except for the 109. Now's there only a P-51 and a ME-262 left. :D

Found the planes at the Kansas City area stores yesterday. They were on the shelf with some RC stuff. Also found 1/6 Jeeps and Kubelwagons there too.

Finally found these babies at the Columbia (Md) Walmart off Rt 175. They had 4 of each, left two of each on overstock in diecast aisle. Still have yet to find the Cold Steel M113's, anyone in Md or Northern Va found these yet?

Regards.

I found 2 of each of these planes in Ruidoso,New Mexico this last week. All
six were in the clearance section($7.00).
Great deal, but I had to ship them home
because I could not carry them on the plane. The guy working in toys said they were a deleted item and they would not carry the item again.Another example of (off the truck and into clearance).
