I'm a little surprised that we haven't seen the pak-40 HT yet despite seeing pictures of what appeared to be a finished product at the Toy Fair. I don't anticipate seeing the F-4 and the B-25 for months down the road, but I do have hopes that the King Tiger and 88 gun will appear on the horizon soon. :D

Oh I agree that they have a lot on their plate, but you have to finish your peas before you get dessert! In other words, make with the Pak 40 Hanomag or admit it got scrapped already!

I have come back up for air now! Things have been so busy for me lately and everytime I have had a chance to check in and get the skinny on new products I was told that everything was in a huge whirl wind over at 21st. Those guys have been so slammed with new projects and woking on a new distribution solution that everything has been in flux.

Anyway, the dust is setteling and answers are just around the corner. Tonight an official article direct from 21st Century Toys will be posted on AREA-21 about this very topic.

Sorry to everyone for being away the last couple weeks. I am back now and from the sounds of the article I just received, we are in store for some new updates.

(from the 21C web site)

News is on the way! Including a new mystery project!
5/17/07
Hi Fans!

I understand that the lack of news releases over the past months has been frustrating. It would be easy to assume that the lack of news could be signaling a lack of development of new products. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Research and Development department has been working long hours on many different products. Factories are cranking at full capacity on many new items.

The lack of news is a byproduct of the big push to meet some important deadlines. 21st Century Toys is getting close to making a huge and very exciting announcement for all fans of 21C products. Watch this space for more details. New products are on their way to the shelves as we speak. A selection of new products previously announced are currently in production, and should be available in the near future. There is even a new product that is currently in production that has not even been discussed before. I can hear you saying “Oh yeah, that’s great! Tease us and don’t even give us any hints!” You want a hint? OK. It’s 1/18th armor, and that’s all I’m saying.

News will resume again shortly. There will be something for just about everyone. For the last month or two, it has been a choice between working on new products or talking about them. We think you’ll agree that our decision was the right thing to do, and that the wait will be worth it.”

Watch this space…your patience will be rewarded! 21st Century Toys

Well if it's silence that keeps bringing the new items into production and into our XD collections sooner than later I'm all for it. :D

New 1/18 armor? Great news!
I hope we will see the release of the PAK40 Hanomag and the 88 soon. And we know about the Königstiger. A 4th armor piece? I wonder what this could be.
Maybe a new US Tank? That would make the most sense, because all other pieces are german. Maybe a priest?

I think that any new armor will be a welcome change. Not that I don't love all the repaints/refits, it's just comforting news to hear that something new is on its way. :D

My planes and armor are sitting with dust and becoming obsolete waiting for new armor for the big battle.

That's odd, last night's news flash is now gone from 21C's site.
