BBI M4A3 Sherman at Toys r Us

Post by billgiff » Sat Feb 05, 2005 1:38 pm

I just wanted to let you know that I saw the BBI Sherman at a TRU here in New Jersey. The price was $39.99 and it came in the older style BBI box. It was nice to see this item on a retail shelf and hopefully there will be more items to follow.

That's funny, I thought they would be the same price as the on-line retailers. For instance, BadCat sells them for $32.95 plus shipping and they come in the new packaging. Might be better off purchasing them on-line. :D

And I was just thinking today that it was odd that TRU did not carry the bbi Sherman(!)

Picked up one two weeks ago,....really sweet. I've seen plenty at my TRU's in Southern California. Needs an interior though. Really cool Tanker dude!

The TRU on west Shaw ave. in Fresno had 4 BBI Shermans.

That is one heck of a tank and looks great! I'd have gotten one, save that I don't really have the space for a duplicate piece of armor, and I already got the new 21c Sherman when it came out last fall.

The TRU in my area (Northern KY and SW Ohio) had a few in the Florence store. I as tempted. It looked sooo nice. But I will wait. It may come down in price...

Talking about the bbi Sherman, I opened mine up and it, is as mentioned before, is awesome! Is it a ramped up Tamaya 1:35 tank?

http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/ ... man105.htm

Does anybody have a profile or a photo of the real tank that they could scan it for me?? Of course it belongs to C Company, 69th Armored Bn, 6th Armored Div...........

Thanks for any help!
