Twins in 1/32...yes/no?

Post by der Vogelfänger » Tue May 01, 2007 2:24 am

What ARE our real chances of seeing Twin Engine (and more) birds in 1/32nd?

Wish list would include:

Mosquito
He-111
Bf-110
B-25
C-47
C-46

and lets go for broke:

B-17
B-24
Fw-200
Ju-52

Now with the partial lists above, I honestly wonder what our chances REALLY are of seeing ANY of those, or others. What do all of you say?....

I think that chances are good for a 32X twin, a P-38 would seem to be a likely candidate.

I hear that we may see a twin prop (and something bigger) this year in 32x.. With how popular the line is, I can't not expect to see 21st go bigger.. Anything that can fit into an XD airplane box is a possibility.. :D

I think that twin-engine fighters and light to medium bombers have a very good chance of being made in 1:32. There already is a Mosquito in 1:32, save that its made by Corgi, is diecast, and expensive

Beaufighter, Swordfish (Not twin engined I know), P-38, Bf-110 Nachtjager, and how about some Luftwaffe '46/USAAF '46/RAF '46?

Frankly, I am very surprised we have not seen a P-38 already. I would be all over that in a New York minute. A Mosquito would also be great, but, heck, I am still waiting patiently for a 1/32 21st Spitfire!

I just thought of another one: The Dornier Do-335 "Pfeil" (Arrow).

Was'nt it previously mentioned that 21st will have a "bombers of the blitz" run in an older thread? HE-111, JU-88, DO-17, et al

Now that you mention it, I believe there was once a thread where this was discussed at some length, what I can't recall specifically is whether it was "news" of a supposed future release, or just wishfull thinking on the part of the collector community.

I hope for the former rather than the latter! Thanks

Agreed, a Heinkel with those big white stripes on the wings and tail would be a real eye catcher. Or even a V-1 carrier c.1944.

The could also do the same for the Do-17 (BoBr and a anti shipping version) and Ju-88 (BoBr, and a Nachtjager version with the Schrage Musik and radar aerials on the nose.)
