The Walmarts in LI are wastelands, and I have never in my life seen anything 1/18 discounted. C44, I know what your going to say

All quiet on Eastern Front...
Re: C44, I know what your going to say...Moth, I feel your pain! I'm lucky to have 3 WMs to troll in within twenty minutes of each other, but these have pretty much dried up lately...one glimmer of hope: Smokes & Flying U'takers have finally made it to Middle Island WM...maybe we'll see Sabres by July!

Sounds like you got an Avengaer that was slated for WM,cause that's whaere 21C dumps all their rejects.Sabrefan wrote:Oh, I forgot a couple more problems. When I tried to put the flaps down on one of the wings, the whole flap came off. The strip that is glued on to hold the flap on came off. It had very little glue, I fixed that ok. When I took the glass ball off of the turrent, one side of the turrent would fall. This is because the whole floor it is attached to was only attached to one side of the fuselage.![]()

That's got to hurt for 21c! All that work put into the plane and it goes for $2
It seems that many Wal Marts got inundated with Avengers a few months back and couldn't sell all but a few. If I was a manager and had any say in what my department got, I would be hesitant about ordering a large number of $70 planes that no one wants...
On another Avenger-related note, The Flying Mule (www.theflyingmule.com) has some Flight 19 Avengers marked down to $59.99! Their "Tuskeegee" P-51 costs just as much, for getting only half amount of plastic

I think that one's been determined to be a custom job. The two-tone blue looks good, but he left the canopy framing unpainted (in the gray color of the Atlantic bird) and also left the "nose art" from the Atlantic Avenger as wellaferguson wrote:Has anyone seen a Pacific repaint Avenger yet? Look in the b/s/t forum under 'post ebay finds' thread and there is an auction for what looks like a new paint job for the avenger.....a pacific scheme, white 29.

This is a completely self-absorbed thread entry on my part but................so happy, I've finally ordered an avenger for my collection. I was waiting for the right currency exchange price, plane price and shipping price and the flyingmule pulled through on the last two so yay. There was a point when I actually didn't think I could afford one - or at least willing to pay high shipping costs for a brand new one. So it should be on my shelf in 3 or 4 days. All these threads about the avenger and people buying an avenger for the price of a coffee, oh well, how long till the Mitchell?.................I'll get of my soap box now

BadCat has an update regarding thier "Bunker Hill" Avengers! It seems they are going to be on the water and due to ship out by the middle of August
For those that don't have one preordered, they're priced at $69.99.
