I could see 21st doing 3 variants of the Tiger II. The Henschel turret which we see in the "first shots" photos, a Porsche turreted Tiger and the Jagdtiger. They made them in 1/32. Hell, I bet that one day we'll see a Jagdpanther in 1/18th.

speaking of: is the 21C Panther a G model? With the G the sides and front plates were the same as the jagdpanther.

So tooling costs should be reduced... just like in 1943.

Yes the Panther is a G model a late war G. With it's chin mantlet and raised radiator heater. There were a few with the raised heater (late late war) but most of them did not have it.

Isn't the JT a longer hull than the KT? If so it reduces the chance of an [accurate] JT..

>>> Yeah ,.. I can see your point. ... It was lengthened because of the large superstructure to house it's massive 128mm. cannon. ... If 21st. makes one , then it would seem cost effective to use the same mold as the KT , you would think , but not necessarily. I'm sure "Roy and gang" realize this. It may not be that big a deal. Then we can see the same thing happening for the JP , for that matter , but the chassis for it , would remain the same , except for it's superstructure ofcourse.

Well , it's good to know at least the "Wittmann Tiger" is coming along shortly , too. Thanks for the update. ..

Also , it's a "no brainer" now , that there's only 2 obvious variants left to do here , and we'll get to see at least one more or ( possibly both ). ........... So is the T-100 "Maus" , totally left out of the equation here ? ...

Imagine this "beast" in 1:18th scale.

Cool video! I didn't know there were enough of those tanks left to have one restored to working order

True. This King Tiger belong to the "Musée des Blindés" de Saumur (Saumur's Tank Museum). It's the only one still in working order.

There is another one in Belgium but this one is static only and stay as a symbol of the Battle of the Bulge. Here are some close shots I took of it three years ago :

I think the Patton Museum has one also... or at least had one in the 90's.

Yeah the only 2 surviving Kingtigers that belonged to the 501st SS Heavy Tank Battalion that actually fought in the Battle of the Bulge was Tiger 231, which is preserved today in La Gleize, and Tiger 332, which is still displayed in the Patton museum...

Both got horrible paintjobs. X_X

The King Tiger at the Patton Museum is also the one cut open for display.
