Whats the status on the 21st TBM Avenger

Any idea? I was looking foward to it for Christmas, but then I saw at Badcat Aviation that it was delayed. I hope its not canceled

The Avenger should be showing up somewhere 4Q of 2005, hopefully. It will DEFINATELY be done............

4Q? Last i heard when i spoke to Roy a month ago or so it would be out probably March.

Expected first half of '05 are: F-104, Avenger, F-86, MiG 15 and Me-262

OK, well that answers my question from the other post! Lets hope this ambitious time frame holds true. That will mean a bunch of great aircraft by at June!

No, I'm sure you are correct Andrew. I didn't know that the Avenger would be in stores that quick. You know more than I do........

i wonder if 21st was having the same trouble with the Avenger that IL-2 and Oleg Maddox had with it, Gumman not letting them use it's "likeness"

I think March is a little ambitious - that's next month! We know the 104 is first and it's not even finished yet

. March would be 1st quarter and quite a nice surprise......

Yes the F-104 is just barely finished, but we've been talking about the Avenger since before the P-40 was first even on Wal Mart shelves!

We've been "talking about" a lot of things for a long time, that don't mean they're around the corner....

Btw, I noticed they say the end of April for the 104 - which would mean nothing new for 2 months? In years past I'd say that's normal but the way they've been cranking stuff out it seems like a while. Maybe they will surprise us with something like they did with the Truck!!

Don't know how valid this is, but as stated by FarOutToys:

That would be great, but April 15th is right around the corner and no word from 21st. Plus, 21st is definitely releasing the F-104 in mid-April if I remember correctly from the website. So if the Avenger came out in that timeframe too that would be an pleasant surprise.

I wonder, though, if the recent factory QC issues have something to do with the delay of the Avenger.

I would hope that we see the Avenger sometime very soon, April or even May would be quite nice. All of us have waited over a year for this plane. Enough with the delays and mismatched (though cool) 1950s era fighters. Stick with what was promised and deliver the Avenger!
