That is the very first version of the 109 that came out. It is known as the "White 12".

At on time it was the most sought after except the sinach camo. Now they probably the least sought after.
Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller

That was the TRU exclusive ME-109E. It even came with the "midget" pilot figure, though the plane can be easily modified to hold the larger figure. Although an older mould now, I still really like the paintscheme and it goes well with the Galland Bf-109E, both being from JG-26. It is one of the more rare XD birds, but usually doesn't fetch the price of the Spinach-cammo plane (and lately the Wal Mart winter version).

Thats a blast from the past, the old Ground Pounders days 2000-2001. My Wife and Son gave me that for Christmas '01. Soon after that I saw the XD Panther at TRU and I was hooked.

Yep, those were the first two 1/18 items that I bought as well :D I remember going to TRU about every week to see if there was something else new there. I think the next aircraft was the P-51, I regret getting it the blob for a tail wheel was a disappointment.I also got the Stuka and P-38 at TRU, along with several vehicles.
