Is BBi being left in the dust, or what?

What's up with BBi not trying to compete or keep up with AT or 21st?

I am not sure what is going on with BBI. But if they bring out the F6F Hellcat soon, that will restore my faith in them real quick.

BBI seems to be the type of company that does what is wants when it wants and does not appear to be concerned what 21C and AT are putting out. I do think they have their eyes and ears open to the market and to this forum thus the hopefully soon appearance of the Hellcat. They don't seem to be in a hurry to put out multiple new models like the other two. Just my observations for what its worth.

I love BBI's (non working chute) figures. I wish they would pump out a ton of them, they are quality.

I think they still make a lot money from their modern figures and vehicles which is a field where theyre still pretty much unopposed . 21c concentrate on old stuff WW2/Vietnam while BBI concentrate on modern stuff and they are probably both happy about that

I think BBI will deliver for us it`s just they play there cards close to their chest. Till then we`ll have to sit & wait.

Just remember though we have BBI in the 1/18th camp along with 21st.

It`s better to have them at their pace than NOT at all in 1/18th

Don't forget that bbi 1:18 is but a miniscule part of the company. You can't compare AT and 21st with bbi. 1:18 is the just about the bread and butter for the former, but a sand pebble for the later.... It's simply not a big deal for bbi.

I agree that BBI is still in the game and will probably surprise us hopefully soon. BBI's figures IMO are brilliant and i would love for them to release a ton of them this year. They have the WWII red devil and am hoping that this is a sign of things to come.

Hey guys. I have to say this and thats that I have lost faith in BBI. They are getting lost in the shuffle and its sad to see because their quality and detail on their airplanes is excellent. Their Mustangs are winners, their Corsairs are winners and I'm sure if and when they ever release the F6F that will be a winner. Their Jets are very good as well as their figures ect. But BBI dont seem to care much about keeping up with the competition. As someone already said: They release stuff when they want. How long has it been since we have seen a new aircraft come from BBI? For me it seems like a long time ago. How long has it been since we have heard anything from Mike? BBI better release the Hellcat soon because if things keep going the way they are they will be a memory.

Just my thoughts.

I won't count bbi out, but truth be told, I suspect in the overall scheme of things, 1/18 counts as a "oh, yeah, that too" kind of thing for them. They are still a major name in 1/6 military figures and have apparently brought their 1/6 Cy Girl/Perfect Body line back from the dead (although I also hope they get the name back from Takara/Tomy for the rest of the line--paying $90 to $200 a figure that ends up 6-8 months behind schedule is getting old). Factor in all the other stuff they do, primarily in toys for younger kids, and bbi has bigger fish to fry. I suspect they make more in a week off their Hello Kitty branded stuff than they do in 3 months on Elite Force, let alone 1/18. Not that I like the situation, since they are our best hope for modern aircraft and armor let alone the better made Mustangs and Corsairs, but... As a businessman, I know what side my bread is buttered on, and I am sure bbi does too. Hopefully they will still remember that many of us XD/Elite Force and Cy Girl consumers DO also spend money in other areas, as well (for all of those out there with younger kids).

Just like a few of you have stated, BBI is huge toy mfg. 1/18th scale is a small part of their business. Their 1/18th stuff shows up on the shelves with little or no warning. As long as there is a market, they will keep making the goods. I hate the dry spells as much as the next guy. You just have to weather the storm.

You are definately correct Ski, I forget sometimes that BBI is the "800 Pound Gorilla" with its fingers in a lot of pies and this is just a small pie to them. I'm just glad the they have decided to stay in 1:18 for the immediate future. Without them we wouldn't have the 1:18 Zero and I really like their Mustang over 21C's(sorry 21C nothing personal). So I'm really looking forward to when I can pre-order the Hellcat. But I still say that they will move at their own pace.... why??? because they can.

BBI is the bigger of the companies - I'm not worried - They make great figures - well I thought of the paras as weapons sets - lol -TRU sells through the regular figures over and over around here - they keep putting moreon the shelf - so I have no worries -

I picked the Daisy June over the 21st corsair - great plane!! Their planes just keep getting better - figures keep getting better -

BBI appears to be in great shape - and remember we were told they would be off the radar for a while -

do the modern paratroops legs ove at all - it does not look like it in the package -

The Modern Paratroops are articulated just like the other new modern troops and the WWII figures. I have bought about six of the modern paratroops, which I have largely dismantled for use with customs
