F-4 weight

Post by Sabrefan » Wed Mar 21, 2007 5:47 pm

Anyone have an idea how much the new Admiral/21st century F-4 models are going to weigh? I sure hope they put strong landing gear on them. :(

yeah I have some concern about the landing gear also, on the F-4 and the B-25 both will be heavy no doubt. Although the landing gear is totally different, I can sit down my 104 and watch the main gear spread out.

Breaking news--to provide a more significant heft and allow better mettalic effects, AT is releasing the 1/18 F-4 in die-cast!

Just kidding! Right now, I would suspect a weight around 12-15 pounds. Of course, go die-cast and we could bump that up to about 60 ;)

it will most likely be under 10 pounds but that's still a lot. The P-38 is about 3 1/2 pounds, the Avenger about the same and the F-18 is about 6-6 1/2 pounds, as guide.

Mine is going on foam blocks, regardless of the gear...
