Holy smoke Batman!! Look at this.... http://cgi.ebay.com/21st-Century-Ultima ... dZViewItem it's currently going for $172 not including shipping and the bidding is hot and heavy with 25 bids so far and over two days left on the auction. WOW I never dreamed these would fetch that much, but it just goes to show that you can never predict what will happen on e-bay. I have a couple of these brand new in box, and I'm hanging on to them for a while, that's for sure.

2 things:
This is the best modern AC to date, IMO. Even after all these years it kicks so much ___.
And we need another release! 2 repaints over 3 years doesn't cut it! Give us a new one (with some weathering 8) ). Maybe even add the two extra blades found on the current version.

Yea I saw that the other day. I have the same Helo in my closet except I swapped out the crumby pilot figure and replaced it with two bbi pilots. I don’t think we will be seeing repaints of this bird again anytime soon. Hope I’m wrong. Anyway, mine was on the list of items to sell on eBay. Looks like I will have to wait a while till all avalanche of helos, I’m sure will follow this one, are over.

The hand-painted job on Tank Hunter-1 and 2 look Dragon quality for the new D-Day figures and this just gave me the inspiration and the incentive I had to re-paint mine anyway. + 8)

I gave him the link to here, but I don't know if he registered. I've dealt with him and he's a good guy. Fantastic detailer. He bought my Sturmtiger and Jagdpanzer kits. Should be interesting to see how those come out.

Interesting. This guy is only about 45 minutes from me, just south of Kalamazoo, so if it's not a custom, I wonder where he got it.

that looks like a pacific paint job to me....kind of. I wonder if it's a custom somebody returned to WM, this guy found and is now selling on ebay.

Edit: upon closer inspection i think it's a third paint scheme....a pacific one to boot.

It is possible a few pacific Avengers slipped through the cracks. Remember a few of the SDKFZ 251/22 's made it through the system premature.

hmmm, if you look at the canopy, it still has the grey color on the lines, so my guess is that its a custom

Yeah, I think that's the same company that does the Pershing and Tiger RC tanks. The "smoke" and "no smoke" (along with the nice Chinglish) being the giveaway.

Looks to me to be a custom job being repackaged back in the box. Note that the "nose art" below the cockpit is the same as the Atlantic Avenger, and that he has also gone the easy route and not painted the canopy frames. Still, That builder has done a nice job painting the blue color!

With an image that small taken from that distance it may look hideous close up. Anything can look good from far away. Customs should be identified and listed as such. If it were a great paintjob, wouldn’t you want to show it off with some real nice photos and a nice description?

That Avenger is butchery. The word "custom" (obviously used for lack of a better term) lends too much credence to the work done. The paint scheme is an abomination.

(If it would have been posted on the Custom forum here I would not have commented at all obviously, but since it's on eBay it's open game).
