it's been around for 2 or 3 years now. Nice looking but very complex (and expensive) model and it may be more like 1/20 scale if it's to go with 90mm figures (which are 1/20 scale not 1/18 ).
I'm not sure if i've ever heard of anyone from these forums buying one.

Andrea minatures models are all expensive. They make a 54mm scale Roman Trireme or Bireme, which is an ancient warship.....the built up model would be about 2 to 2 1/2 feet long or so. The KIT costs $6000. They also give you the option of buying the built up and painted model. Price unknown.

I bought this item. It is a b$$$$ to put together. It looks nice but it is not 1:18 scale. It is a little smaller more like 1:20. Very Detailed. The price is a little high. I think I paid around $200.00 Go for it only if you have a lot of patience.
