Ryton Books - Outstanding Reference for your WWII Panzers

Post by Mr. Football » Mon Jan 31, 2005 1:36 pm

I recently picked up a few outstanding books from Ryton Publications off of Ebay. They're both 50th Anniversary Commemorative editions covering the Tiger I and Panther tanks. Both come in two versions, the regular version and the signed Limited editions (signed by the authors as well as Otto Carius for the Tiger book and Ernst Barkmann for the Panther book).

I would highly recommend these superb books to any of you armor enthusiasts, they are top notch and essential to any good collection.

Mr Football is the Panther book as expensive as the Tiger ones?I think some of your earlier posts or other posts on the board put these books at $100+.Also I think it was mentioned that the Tiger books were recently published in paperback. Are the Panthers also?

They usually sell for around a hundred bucks. With a little luck you can find the Tiger books for around $75 (cover price). The Panther book as well. The Limited Edition copies with the autographs and signed prints by Otto Carius and Ernst Barkmann go for anywhere b/w $150-$200.

I was able to find the Panther book for just $35 on a 'buy it now' deal on Ebay, which was an incredible buy. I'm currently reading it, it is excellent. IMHO, Probably the best all-around Panther book out there (same with the Tiger).

If you cannot find the panther book on Ebay, then there's the regular version 'Panther in Detail' by Bruce Culver and Uwe Feist. It contains much of the same content, but not as many pages as the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition. These can be found for $32-$50.
