And I thought I was nuts because I have been seriously debating this one:

Verraten und verkauft,
zu lange vertröstet zu lange belogen
Verraten und verkauft,
Durch den Dreck und über den Tisch gezogen.

It's funny how the light can play on the paint scheme. In some of the pictures, the tank looks brownish and in others it looks a dark gray.

JS III tank.....

Post by ostketten » Sun Feb 11, 2007 5:10 pm

For the "kid" who has everything.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Soviet-h ... 8374QQrdZ1
Your very own Joseph Stalin III Soviet Tank  it runs too!! Weapons are non-functional though, what a shame!!

EDIT: Considering that they are offering free shipping, I think the IS-3 tank is a pretty good deal for a museum, or a well heeled collector/re-enactor/enthusiast type individual, there are probably not too many of these things on the open market and this one is in running condition, although apparently in need of an overhaul. It should be a lot of fun for the lucky guys who are going to restore this baby, I bet it sells pretty quick, we shall see. I PM'd the seller to ask what the slogan on the turret says, I'll post it here when I find out.

I think it is 1/1, but it could be the same thing that happened with the Chinese Jeep thing, and end up as 1/1.5
