1:18 L-5 GRASSHOPPER---W.I.P.!!! UP DATED PICS 3/3/07

Post by RED » Sun Feb 18, 2007 5:31 pm

Hey yall!!! Got a new custom I started this weekend and I think it is one of the most overlooked planes out there!!! It is my attempt at a L5(or as the Marines or Navy would say---a OY-1) Grasshopper!!!! :D The Grasshopper was used as a air observation post for the Artillery units on the ground and for just about anything else it might be needed for!!! A neat little plane that I think would be real easy for one of the big 3 to put out on the market :D ---but untill then I will just make my own!!!! I hope yall like it --- I should have it done by this week---I will post more pics later!!!!Thanks ---RED--- Image---[/img]Image---Image---[/img]Image

Dayum! 8)

I just talked to my neighbor last week about doing a custom L-5.

He has 7 or 8, 1:1 L-5 both Observer and Ambulance versions to look at.
There in various stages of restoration, and some uncovered.

So I may try my hand at a 1:18 version, like I need another project.
