If nothing else, now we know the top does come off of the new Dodge.

Great contest, but now we have to buy Marines in order to win a case of Marines.

21c does have some salesmen who think about selling!!!

Not only that you may also have to buy the Dodge truck too, maybe 2 of them if all of them don't fit inside. :D

DO YOU NOT SEE WHAT IS GOIN ON IN THOSE PHOTOS!!!!!!

The Marines are sitting, kneeling!!!

What the heck is happeneing there?

I was looking at the photos and it looks like they cut the bottoms of their field coats... does anyone else have an opinion on this?

this changes everything... if they can do those poses and with only minimal cuts then i am buying a dozen cases!

can anyone else help me figure out exactly how they got them to kneel etc?

This is cool. The fact they've updated the website to address concerns about their products is very impressive. Looks like they are keeping an eye on customer feedback. Then, the contest is just a great idea. Man, its looks like 21C is showing signs of life. Bravo!

seems like 2nd place gets ripped off with just 1 wc63 while 3rd place gets a whole crate of 12 figs?

Hmm... Marines in the WC63 - thats what I plan on doing with mine, but not for the diorama contest, of course! Having no Japanese does make for a rather bland dio...

On another note, on the contest site, 21st provides some expert tips for how to get the marines to sit in position using war water or slitting the shirt - essentially what we've been saying here already for a couple of weeks!

well i didn't see the posting of 21st explaining how to pose them

the "soaking in hot and then cold water" is pretty lame.

but the cutting, i guess is the best... i will be getting these figures!!! 2 cases i think.

Slitting the jacket and softening the plastic with warm water to allow movement works rather well. I did that with my figures, and as you can tell with the below picture, the results aren't bad!

amusing trivia...

I'm sure that no one at 21C gives a hoot, but the Marines rarely (if ever) used the WC63 truck! That was an Army variant to haul the 57mm AT gun and the "baby" 105 in Regimental Cannon Companies. This was not a general issue truck.

The picture file? I reposted the link on the old message and the album its in is public. Look on my website under the "XD Pictures" Menu, it will be towards the bottom and has the Marine Sgt. Digger standing outside the back of the truck.

How do you place your entry? I can't access the form maybe. Do you have to have your name and info on your photos? I am new to sending pics via e-mail. If anyone can explain this to me that would be great. Also would it matter if your figures have different companies weapons? Or a radio pack?

I think you just take your picture, attach it to the message and send it - at least according to what all is said on the 21c site. You can even have multiple entries! I did put my full name and address on the message, for any potential verification purposes, etc. The contest directions say they want the entries to feature the XD Marines, so I would guess no other XD figures or those of a rival company. Nothing is said about including any other accessories in the photos, so I would guess it would be OK to have some Build-a-Rama or other 21c accessories in the photos. Afterall, in their demo photos, 21c has included some sandbags and their WC-53 truck!
