USCG Helo

I was wondering if we could please get a USCG helo with crew figures to include the Rescue swimmer(s) figures!!! and basket w/hoist.

what do you guys think?

I personally the USCG is a great branch and we need something to show for their support.

Man, that would be nice! Unfortunately I have given up hope for a manufacturer to step up and take on that request. I have been working on a loooong term project converting a bbi UH-60 to a UCGC HH-60J. I don't think many people realize how many differences there are between the Blackhawk and Seahawk vriants. I knew this going in to it and my Jayhawk will reflect all of those characteristics faithfully.

I'm hoping that the new custom contest coming up will inspire me go ahead and finish it!

I'd love to see a USCG helo, but I agree, it's unlikely.

I'm wonder how well Dragon's 1/72 USCG offering is selling?

I've got the decals to do one of the old 21C 1/6 Little Birds as a USCG chopper, but it's still in the "someday" stage.

You know, I was thinking about this whole USCG helo thing. It appears that bbi re-tooled the original AH-6 Littlebird to produce an MH-6, or at least used the majority of the same parts from the AH-6 to make the MH-6. My guess is that they made a new mold for the MH-6 fuselage and reused the molds from the AH-6 for the rest of the parts. This obviously keeps production costs down while basically creating a new model.

This would work for the Blackhawk / Seahawk / Jayhawk as well. The vast majority of the differences between the B.H. and the S.H./J.H. (as far as 1/18 scale models go anyway) concern the fuselage. bbi could make new molds for the fuse, stabilator, tail wheel, external stores racks and a few other small items and basically be ready to produce any of the Seahawk variants. Parts available from the existing Blackhawk molds would be the entire rotor system, tail rotor, interior and cockpit platform, pilot seats, windshield and chin "glass", main gear, and of course the all important rescue hoist!

Once again, keeping new production tooling costs down, producing a new model, and further capitalizing on existing molds.

Given all of the press the CG has garnered in the past couple of years, and with the movie The Guardian recently out, this is a highly recognizable aircraft, with people both young and old.

One more thing. If bbi wants eye candy to attract buyers, it doesn't get much better or brighter than a Jayhawk painted in International Orange and White, with the CG slash blazed across its tail!

C'mon bbi, its time to sack up! (Maybe I should consider a hunger strike for an HH-60J!

It's a shame that you don't see more on the CG, out of the hundreds of military aviation patches that I have there is only one CG patch it is for a 130. Maybe the movie will help out in some way

You know what guys not to sound sappy or anything but I think a Coast Guard Helo would really sell well especially down here in New Orleans. Many a person (1,000's ) owe there lives to the USCG. I would be proud to have one. No joke here.

It would look great in Coast Guard Colors. I think it is an often forgotten branch of the service. Most people just look at them as boat police around me (live by a couple rivers, lakes etc.), which is unfortunate.
