21st Toy Fair rumors

Post by tko211 » Fri Feb 02, 2007 9:11 pm

With Toy Fair just around the corner many fans have to wondering what is in store? AREA-21 has been updated with what you can come to expect from the show this year.

First off fans need to be warned that this years show is a "working show" and not intended to be the stage for all 2007 announcements. So we can expect to not see Everything that is currently in development.

But this is not bad news! In fact with what is scheduled to be shown I think fans will be thrilled. With only a week to go the wait is alomst over where new 1:18 product will be announced and perhaps even shake up some foundations (was that a clue I just dropped?)

Coverage of NYTF will once again be covered through AREA-21 so stay tuned as 21st turns up the heat with some of the coolest toys yet!

I guess that means all that we will be seeing at the NYTF, we have already seen. Maybe 21stC finished the 262's by now.

Nice :D :D :D ,, Hey TKO, was that hint a "bomb" of sorts  Can't wait to see the new coverage from the (NYTF). I've been waiting for this all year. Unfortantly here in Columbus Ohio theres not many toy shows or exibits that have x/d, or any 1:18 for that matter. My Wife and I go to the columbus toy show each year when it happens, but we never see any x/d at all. I'ts funny though, because the columbus toy show was originally called the toy soldier show and it was hosted by the British papermill (comics/toy soldiers) but nobody ever has any x/d/21st products there. We always enquire to the venders about x/d, but none of them has ever heard of 21st or x/d. :? I'ts always star-wars or trek, old megos, some joes and other vintage stuff. :( It really confuses me because 21st, BBI, Admiral, all make very fine collectible toys. If I had the resources, er I meen the funds I would set up a stand there and probally make a killin :D (just kidding) I think it would be to much of a hassle considering the difficulty I've ran into just to add to my own collection. :D :D :D

"Shake up foundations"...hmmmm...could it possibly be another 'farm house' or 'building' dio?!!
It seems lately all I've been doing on this forum is complaining about NOT finding any XD...but 21C keeps putting out so much great stuff, that no matter how frustrated I get about it, 21C deserves a BIG TIP OF THE HELMET for continuing to put out GREAT 1:18 stuff and I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT'S NEXT!!!!
I want MORE FIGURES, MORE ARMOR, MORE DIO!!!
(and for it all to be sold at online stores too) :D

a plane carrying bunker busters can shake up foundations, too. Or a MOAB.

I would also LOVE to see the foundation as well, preferably with some sort of cool building attached!!! It's been WAAAAYYY to long since weve had some nice buildings in this scale. I also hope they don't leave Walmart, I hope they just get their distrobution problems fixed. Any other retailer would probably just up the price. I see 21st all over at hobby stores in my AO, If I cant find it at WM, I can always go there, except I won't as they mark the stuff up to 2 to 3 times the price WM sells it for. (I also understand that they probably pay more for it as WM probably gets volume pricing and the local stores don't but why pay twice as much for the same item.

Shaking foundations... Hmmm... 21st bought the licensing rights from Hasbro and is going to start producing a true 1/18 scale Imperial AT-AT? Just kidding! But then again, wow--imagine how big that thing would be!

If foundations is referring to buildings, that is good news and would be a welcome addtion to many collections. Of course, 21st has stated they will not be making any more buildings because of poor sales on the first series. So we can trust in them that the 'foundations' will not be buildings, right? There's always the possibility that an A-10 would shake a buildings foundation... lol

I would totally clean out a side of my garage for that!!! I'd have to fix it up with a lawnmower or motorcycle engine though, no good if it just sits there!!!

"Shaking foundations" probably refers to a 1:18 king tiger. We've been waiting for one for a long time, and 21st had rumblings about it ealry last year.
