New 2005 FOV Troops sets

Post by FETCO » Fri Jan 21, 2005 9:40 pm

News today FOV will soon have the first release for 2005. It will be in FEB, and be the following troops sets.
U.S. 3rd Infantry Division 3rd Brigade,
U.K. 7th Armored Division 3rd Royal Tank Regiment Hussar’s ,
U.S. 82nd Airborne 3rd Battalion 505th Parachute Infantry
I hope they have done something about the popeye syndrome

Good to hear! I have really wanted to get some of those FOV figure sets as all the accessories are just too cool, however, what you term as the "popeye syndrome" is the major turnoff! I would rather spend, say, $9 and get the 32x British troops (which look great) than have a bunch of overly-muscular FOV ones for $5 more! Their vehicle driver figures are all in proportion, so why not the soldier figures? Hopefully, this will change.

The new 2005 figures don't look as though they are "popeyed." At least the desert colored ones that I've seen pics of. :)

Saw one of the troop sets and was surprised to see that one of the sets had included a wounded soldier! Now that's what I call realism! :D

Gotta like the cart with the 82nd airborne troops as well. The large wall sections are nice, too!
