Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

I started with armor, and have always loved the look of German armor. I have the die-cast Tiger I from 21st and somehow, the heft of it adds something special over the plastic editions--I can only imagine how this is with the FOV 1/16 pieces. I have to admit--they are getting harder and harder to resist, despite the price.
No shame in becoming an armor fan!

Yup VMF, yer hooked...
You cant beat the price and quality of 21st Century XD Armor and 1:18 aircraft are incredible! (I started collecting aircraft just over a year ago and have run out of room to display all my planes), but 1:16 armor is as real as it gets. Due mainly to the support of the model community and aftermarket upgrade parts.
That being said, have you ever noticed how Dragon 1:18 figures are a bit smaller that 21st Century? I feel 21st Century are actually closer to 1:16 than many realize. I have the new FOV Michael Wittmann figure and a Panther XD figure side by side and they are the same size....makes you wonder. Can't we all get along?
Anyway, welcome to the dark side VMF. The price of admission sucks but the panzers rule.

The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.
Here is a fine example of 1:16 and 1:18 working together for the sucess of the Leibstandarte.

Here's mine, 1/16 and 1/18 can coexist.

thank you chunks and yoxford,
For helping me through this difficult situation, finding something new and something to look forward too. And by helping me keep my wits and sanity. I hope some time in the coming months to have both.
