This weekend, I had an opportunity to visit the Frontiers of Flight Museum located near the east side of Dallas Love Field. The museum is a bit restricted in their available room, so (like alot of others) they have resorted to miniatures for different eras of aircraft. While I was wandering I came across one of the studio models of a straight winged F9F Panther used for the filming of the Bridges of Toko-Ri. I always liked that film staring William Holden as Lt Brubaker. As far as I can tell, it's close to maybe 1/12th scale and remarkable good condition for it's age.

Just thought you might want to see it. Enjoy!

Nice Model
Great flick, saw it when I was seven. Tough ending though, took years to get over.

I was there last summer and got a good up-close look. Markings are different, but I love those Panther lines!!!

ANNDDDDD....I forgot to post this little gem I saw at the Frontiers of Flight Museum too. Wouldn't a 1/18th scale of this be cool? The model in the photo is about four feet across. Awesome!!!

For those unfamiliar...it's the never finished A-12 Avenger for the Navy.
