Santa plan

Post by digger » Tue Dec 12, 2006 10:07 am

Since we have interest from at least 10 good traders I think we should proceed. In response to some thoughts:
1) I think $20 is a fine maximum. I do not want to place a minimum; after all, someone could find something great on clearance. :P I would just say think about what you send someone and whether you would be happy to receive such. Also, no money need be spent at all - if you want to pluck something out of the closet then by all means...

2) New is NOT a requirement. I would love to get a few loose FJ as I'm sure other guys would too. Again, I would just remember rule 1.

3) I understand the call to have people specify not only their scale but also their interest (figs/vehicles/AC) so we can do that. Please don't be too specific; if there is something you REALLY want Santa to bring you, then I'm afraid you're going to have to do like most adults and buy it for yourself.

4) This will be about the giving, not nec. the receiving! :D

Enough with the rules, if you want in then please PM me your name, addy, scale(s) and interests. Feel free to add modelling, or paints, or customizing. After all, a few bottles of nice acrylics would make some folks very happy (just don't send someone all your old bottles of paint  ). I have emptied my inbox to accomodate plenty of PMs. On Sunday we can have a last call and Monday I can assign the duties. Any Qs or concerns please post here for all to see. Thanks guys...[insert Xmas tunes as we fade to black]

On the advice of a board member I am going to be PMing the "missions" for everyone that signed up. This will give you a chance to use the weekend if need be.

If you have not heard back from me but thought you had signed up please PM again - I responded to every PM I received, and I know at least one person did not have their's go through.

Also, it is not too late to sign up, anyone who wants in will be worked into the fold so please PM your info if you are interested (scales/interest and address). We have a good group but more is always merrier.

Thanks to those who are on board.

Last Call for those who want in (please PM me your addy, scale, preferences).

I also suggest that if you are involved you check your PMs. I see a couple of people have not received their mission objective and I don't want any kids to be sad this Christmas.

Thanks to all involved. :D

And, since I have a delinquint postman who put things in my garage bushes instead of my front stoop, I wish to say that Santa came via Texas for me. I have one of the new 32x German HTs to put with my classroom display. Thanks so very much.

Santa's job should be done

Post by digger » Mon Jan 08, 2007 7:51 am

Hi All,
I would hope that by now Santa's work is done. If you were unable to play Santa or did not receive anything please let me know so that I can contact any members who would be affected.
Thanks to those who took part and went out of their way to shop for someone else on the faith that they would be gifted. Please also lmk if you have suggestions for next year or general comments, etc..
Thanks again! :D
