Hm. F-111 is a good guess. I remember a long while ago Jason said that the next subject was something that was not much requested but that he felt everyone would really like.

You don't see many requests for the F-111 but i'm sure most would be pretty wild about it. I know i would be. It's kinda huge though.

Also, qualifies for the 'one' name hint.

Wow--what a treat to wake up to this morning. Thank you very much to both Jason and Birddog. And, congrats to LaDonna and family. I hope the little stinker brings you all much joy. This is so cool.

As for my guess about the model, I will say it is the F-117. Why? Because I can, that's why. I have no real inkling as to what it will be. I feel like a little kid at Christmas wondering what Santa will bring me.

Someone earlier had guessed Zero. The Zero was previously announced by AT but then bbi put theirs out first and 21st unveiled one at Comic Con last year or the year before. There is the mysterious Turk who dropped the hint to the F-5. Jason seems to speak very favorably of this model. Though, it does not seem to me that he clearly said it was a go.

I can't wait and I am truly excited. Again, thanx.

Jason,

you guys are doing a 1:18 scale version of the Air Force One 747? Coooool!!!
Just kidding...
And since a B-1B would be a little on the massive size too...

I am going to stay out of the guessing game--I like surprises :D

I'm going with the Dauntless Divebomber, based on one of his previous posts:

But if we do make a showing in the 1:18 market, it will be with a splash. (Was that a hint?)

That was a great interview, thanks for the info!
A quick comment on what needs to be looked at from what Jason has said in the past:
I did give you the name of the next aircraft in a post awhile back. It was stated outside of my list of aircraft. The hint is buried in the post itself.
That tells me, he mentioned it but was NOT part of the list he considered or stated.
Another hint was a posting where he mentioned this:
But if we do make a showing in the 1:18 market, it will be with a splash. (Was that a hint?)
This could be a reference to an amphibious aircraft or to a mention posting from Shin Densetsu where he mentions this:
...what is the market like for vietnam era craft? It seems like the 1/18 companies put their feet into the water but don't venture towards the deep end to to speak. We got sabres MIG-15's, even an F-104, and of course the brige the gap we could have the thud, crusader and phantom.
Could this mean a Vietnam aircraft?
I think it could refer back to a posting that Jason made back in Jul 12, 06 to Quixote511:
Quixote511, our A6M2 type 21 is still a very viable project and may just be seen in “January” of ‘07. We are working on improving the model to offer you the better of two Zeros ever produced. Not saying that it will be any better but come on; we have a 50/50 chance of offering the best A6M2 on the market today and we will try. This is all I will say about this project at this time.
With that being said my vote is for the
Nakajima A6M2-N a Zero with floats!

Thats most likey right, since Admiral wanted to make a Zero before.

They just converted it to a Rufe, (like 21st did with their 262, I dont beleve TKO that they planned a NF from the beggining  )

answer: go check AREA-21 today. THEY did in fact plan for a night fighter 262 from the beginning! Just like a 104 Starfigheter C vs. G model!

Hit me if you dare...but i must warn you i watch ultimate fighting on Spike.

As far as the Rufe goes, it would be nice to see i guess. But Jason's doing an awful lot of build up for something. If it's just a Rufe, i would find that disappointing.

As far as the 'splash' hint goes.....i do think it was a hint but not the hint Jason referred to in the interview. He said that hint was very subtle, whereas the 'splash' hint was very obvious, since he said 'was that a hint'.

Does seem that it may have something to do with water, however.... Hm.

OH MY LORD, THEY'RE DOING A SHORT SUNDERLAND!!

A Rufe would be interesting, especially if it actually floated :P Even better, paint it up for the French when they moved back into Indochina (don't think that bird ever saw combat, but think about the chat you'd start on this board!)

I have gone thorough all Jason's posts well at least as far back as June this year and there was absolutely no reference to the He 162 Salamander, Do 335 Arrow or Ar 234 Lightning so based on this fact these aircraft make up my other guess/hint/wish.

As to the splash reference I am not convinced that this is the actual hint he is referring to as I believe he has actually used the aircrafts name in a sentence like my Trojan guess, but having said that if splash is a part of the hint then the splash reference does not restrict the aircraft to only being an amphibian or flying boat but could be a subtle reference towards the effect that aircrafts ordinance (Bombs, Torpedoes or Canon) have on the water.
