Schleich Wild West

Post by aferguson » Thu Dec 07, 2006 10:47 am

This looks like a fairly new series (new to me anyway). Saw these when i went downtown today. Same quality as their knight figures. Not bad. I picked up the chief, canoe, brave shooting bow on horseback and prospector (my favourite :) ).

Nice figures. Compatible with XD. No articulation. Hopefully there is a second series with cowboys/cavalry guys shooting guns etc.

That donkey would look good in a WWII dio with some German soldiers or even a modern one with some of the Middle Eastern or Sahara figures 8)

back in my young xd days i made a couple of german mountain troops, in shorts, with a schleich donkey laiden with all their gear. Looks pretty sharp to this day. I got the idea from a Dragon 1/35 figure box art. (i used a mark V donkey)

Shame the war ended before the Mk VII could be produced in any number.

Today we are using the Mk VIII Donkey, a detuned Mk VI, with 1/2 the brain capacity and smaller hoofs for better fuel economy.
