New Figures Found!
Yes it does. The figure reminds me very much of this GI Joe:billgiff wrote:That camo pattern almost looks like our Modern USMC Digital Camo. I don't think that the Germans were that far ahead in technology. It's a nice attempt but this figure will be a custom repaint. The hunt continues.

Is it just the camera or do all those figures have a really glossy finish on them? I'm looking at my BoB2 Germans and Americans and they don't look like that, they have more of a flat finish. The faces don't look as realistic either, they look more like the pilot figures included with the older series aircraft. Don't get me wrong, I'm still buying them but I found it kind of odd.

New XD figures ?
>>> I totally agree with you here ,.. and even the names of some of these Wehrmacht ,.. especially the (S-1) Fallschirmjåger ,.. is absolutely rediculous. ..... Major Von Schnitzel for instance ,.. should've been named "Major Von wiener Schnitzel" instead.MandaloreSC wrote:
The Camo shmock of this german infantry guy is not in the camo pattern I've expected. I thougt he would come in "Erbsentarn" or "Eichenlaub", but what kind of camo pattern is this?

german
Good point by Andrew - S2 through S10 of this guy will likely have a variety of camo patterns. As it is I still want a few but did anyone notice something perhaps more concerning than the pattern? That one of his ankles is camo too?
The names don't bother me in the least - call 'em whatever you want...

Thanks very much, Holensock!holensock wrote:Til someone posts a picture, here are the names of the Germans on the back of the package: Pvt. Joseph Dieffenbach, Capt. William Newwnhaus, Sgt. Otto Wilndorff, Pvt. Fritzen Osternoh, Lt. Ludwick Odheim and Pvt. Hugo Kemnett.
Dieffenbach = DAK Infantry
Newwnhaus = DAK Officer
Wilndorff = ??? (D-Day German Infantry?)
Fritzen Osternoh = ??? (Dress Parade?)
Odheim = New Officer
Kemnett = New Infantry with camo helmet
If this is correct, there is no sign of the 7th german figure, TKO anounced.
overall i like the sculpts very much. I prefer these generic faces to the cartoonish ones of the marines. The odd yelling face etc is handy but it's more useful to have unremarkable expressions for the most part.
I didn't notice the camo'd left ankle putty on the german fig.
I bet they're going to sell a ton of this figure. I wonder why they just made one camo smocked fig?
As far as names go, who cares. They're just a way of identifying each particular figure. If 21c wants to get a bit zaney so what. Did i complain when BBI just made me a corporal?
There is no disrespect or anything, intended on any of the names and if they're not historically or nationally correct it's not a big deal, is it? Even the names of many of the Dragon 12 inch figures are kind of dumb and stereotyped. As Billy wrote: "what's in a name...?".

D-Day figures
On my way home from work tonight, I went to the Westbury walmart ( Old Country Rd ) Moth went to 2 days ago....... 3 figures
Thats it just 3 2nd Ranger Hodges, Tank Commander James and Tank Gunner Debree. These guys look great and I'll be on the lookout for some of these Germans. I was going to buy 10 to 15 of these new figs but someone got there first.

The uniforms are the same flat tones similar to mostof the previous releases. The head and hands are more shiny and weathered, I prefer the less weathered look of older series myself.Rowsdower wrote:Is it just the camera or do all those figures have a really glossy finish on them? maybe if I can get out of work before too late tomorrow night, I may make a run down to Niles to see if anything new has popped up--they seem to do the best around here (the only so far to get Avengers and most of the 1/32 stuff) so I will keep my fingers crossed for these guys and maybe, just maybe, and M16.

I can't believe it. The new german figures have Wermacht in huge letters on the package. And it's totally wrong.
Correct would be Wehrmacht.
There are so many errors on the german language packages in the last time. It's okay when it's a tiny error in a name or something. I just smiled when I read "Pioneerpanzerwagen" on the halftrack package. But this isn't funny anymore. How much time do I need to check out the correct spelling of a german word? 10 seconds in google.
@Roy: Quality control please.

I'd love to see this too!! I'd also LOVE for 21C to offer the new ball jointed shoulders as extra sets for the BOB1 and BOB2 sets, for the US Marines, etc. I just opened the D-Day Sgt. Jesse Wildman James and the new articulation is INCREDIBLE!! It makes a world of difference with the new ball jointed shoulders! Maybe at the hips someday too....
new figs on ebay
I'm all for subsidizing your ebay fees with the s&h but $10 per figure is absurd....someone should report this guy...is he sending via messenger?

This is a easy fix. Just don't buy from him. That is almost 100% profit on shipping. If people boycott his auctions, he will get the point. Or drop him a email asking if the shipping price is right or not. If you don't bid on his items, he still has to pay listing fees. Hurt him in the wallet. That is my 2 cents worth.
