Solido 1/18th SAS jeep

Post by tankduel » Sat Dec 02, 2006 12:49 am

I thought some of you would be interested to see this jeep. I've never seen it before. Some accessories could do with a paintjob and there's a white crate in the back that looks like painting was overlooked. I like the twin vickers on the front. Now if we only had some british troops headswapped with sahara figures to go with it.

I have to say that is one neat little jeep.
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

Here is the Solido Jeep category in the SSHQ database:

There are (I think) four total jeeps.

Aferg, did your OD SAS jeep have "weathered" wheels like the ones in the photo TD posted?

My local KayBee outlet had these jeeps for around 15.00 about 8months ago. Not sure if they still carry them.

I snagged the last tan SAS from my local Kay Bee in the Newport Shopping Plaza. It was a few months ago. Is this the same place you’re thinking of?

Oh man, now I want one! Take it apart and airbush a nice finish on all the pieces and it would be a wicked jeep.

The perfect crew for it is available as well. Someone here (??) used the Sahara head dresses with some of the bearded Marines and made some pretty good SAS guys.
