Hey yall---Im sorry I havent been around--- I had some personal bussiness come up back home and have been gone for about a month!!!
But Im back now and ready to start back on my customs again!!!!
I have got some new pics of my LVT that Ive named--- THE TIPSY GYPSY---
I at 1st was going to give it a camo paint job but the more I looked at real pics of the LVTs at SAIPAN the more I saw that they were all O.D. Green and not camo---so there you have it!!!!
I added some small things to make it more detailed like the periscope in the up/open position(which is a real easy custom to do),radio antenna, and 2water(jerry)cans!!!!
I then I gave it a little weathering on all the edges to give it that been there look!!!!
:lol:I hope yall like it!!!!---RED---

Skills
SKILLS to the highest degree RED! I keep scrolling back from start to finish and you never cease to keep us all in awe. By the way, I made a lil observation and I don't know if this is the case but your work area seems very clean and organized... which tells me that you're very methodical and not scattered in your process - Then again, I'd expect nothing less given how your tank has developed!

Hey yall---Thank yall for all the nice comments!!!!
It really means alot to me to know that yall like my LVT--- which has taken me so long to build!!!
THANK YALL AGAIN!!!!Oh---as soon as I have time I plan to take and post a few pics of a AMPHIBIOUS ASSAULT useing both LVT's and my HIGGINS Boat!!!!!
With winter comeing it might be a little cold down by the ol'swimming hole---so might not be till spring till I get a chance for the assault pics!!!!
That might give me enough time to build another LVT?????
But again Thank Yall!!!---RED---

Hey Red,
Thanks for bumping this up. How did you make the tracks? Could you give us a close up of them ?
Your LVT looks great !!! How long did it take in actual hands on hrs?
How does it look next to a Sherma ?
I always thought that this thing was huge but after the print enlargement it was not as big as I thought it would be.

Hey PH!!! Not a problem brother!!!The tracks are from a Tonka bulldozer---it was the tracks that gave me the ideal to do a LVT!!!Im not to sure on the time it took to build this---it was over a 4month period!!! Alittle time here and there and at least a month that I didnt work on it at all!!!It is overall bigger than a Sherman because it was ment to be a transport vehicle!!! I can post a pick of the 2 together along with the track if you still want to take a look!!!---RED---

I know the thing is about 4 inches longer and a full track wider than the Shermy. But it would be cool to see both of them side by side.RED wrote:Hey PH!!!
