I've sure others have converted a 21st M3A3 halftrack to a White scout car. Here's my attempt:

3
The rear is made from .060 thick sheet styrene. There is Plastruct diamond plate on the floor and rear bumper, and I resin-cast the rear wheels.
Does anybody know where I can get 1:18 star decals or stencils? Thanks.

That is a nice job gary1930! I have been wanting to do one of those myself and now I know it can be done, so I'll up it on my project list!
Again, thanks for the pics!

Very nice!

I intially thought that was the 21C 1/6th version in the first photo until I re-read the text...
If you have any WIP shots I'd love to see them!
Also, if you have a spare Patton car you could use the flags and markings and make your scout car totally look like the 21C prototype from a few years ago..

Very Nice work indeed mate.
I think I may try this though once I get one of the Chap mei Soldier Force M3 halftracks instead as base.
Again Outstanding work.

Thanks for the kind comments, and for the tip on John's Stuff decals. Those and a 30 hanging on the back should improve it.
I did not take any pics of the work in progress, but I will next time as I will build a couple more for those who requested them. If there is enough interest, I might run off a few sets of the plastic pieces on a friend's laser cutter.
PM me if you would be interested. I am new here (I'm primarily a 1/6th modeler) and am not allowed to post in the buy/sell section.

Nice job!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully you'll stay with 1/18. I made the switch from 1/6- 1/18. This way you can buy 4 times as much with taking up the same amount of space.

Welcome and keep up the great custom work. We need more armor and vehicles!!!!

Thanks for all the nice comments.
I finally got the decals and finished it. This one has gone to Ebay (Item number: 170048875056). I may or may not make more of them as I am working on a 1:18 Jagdpanzer IV conversion in addition to all my 1/6th projects.

anyone out there save the pics of this? I'm dusting off some of my stalled projects and the White Scout Car is one of them I'm working on again. Would love to see a completed one.

vmf, I missed this one as well so I have no pics to post, I'm hoping that someone saved them or that gary1930 still has them and can re-post them. I'm planning to make a mold of the wheel this weekend so hopefully I'll have some resin spares available if anyone else feels like buliding one. buliding the gun rail is the part i'm not looking forward to
