Heads. Lots of heads. (Rainman voice): Yeah, definitely heads.
As for who they're gonna fight? Ever hear of a little operation called "Torch?"
Round up a bunch of US bubbas. I even have a winter Sherman that can pass as 'dusty.' All I need to do is add some 2nd Armored markings.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

finally, these daks are the first ones so far i can actually see myself bothering with.
though i have to admit my picture of them was always those old desert films my dad watched where they had tan uniforms and shorts.
but hey im happy because they dont look exactly like every other figure so far.

The pea green uniform is correct. However, I believe it is period to later in the campaign. Still, very cool. And, I think these guys would be in line for an Italian campaign as well.

Ok, maybe not that many and I think those are illegal to export due to the war on terror anyway.

Well, I think this would be only shipping back to the production places, would'nt it? I don't think this would be illegal.
About the DAK colors: I did a little research in WWII books and I've seen nowhere some DAK troops with shorts. But of course it's hard to find out which would be the correct color from b/w pics. Hmmm - do we really want to see some soldiers in shorts? Just imagine those hairy legs....

Yes, I thougt that too. Would be a good head for a hitler custom, but I'm not interested in building one.

I'm liking the DAK figures. If anything, they look decent, have the new articulation, and its a new theater. Unfortunately, I'm thinking if we'll only see the figures release in 6-fig assortments, these will be in the last assortment.
And can I complain again about the right hands that can't hold a weapon, like a luger?

It seems they don't have the ball shoulder. Not a huge loss but it does appear that way.

You are right, Razor. When I was looking at the pics I've saved a realized that right now it's only 17. First I thougt I forgot to save one of the pics. I thougt we already know 18 and the last figure tko mentioned would be some kind of bonus figure from an upcoming vehicle or something. But you are right. We only know 17 right now. tko sayed this last guy would be a german....

Did not notice that on these. Good catch. Again, not a killer, but why skimp on the German figures, XD? Same thing with the BOBIIs - US figs had a bunch of accesories, squat for the Germans.

The DAK bubbas look a little bit like the prototype that was introduced a while back. I'm betting they recycled a mold or two, and that's the reason for the lack of the new articulation. That's just a guess though.
Another thing I like particularly are the long coats. These will go well on Panzer Commanders and such. That'll allow me to bring some extra bodies to the North Africa party.

Which prototye
Do you have a link or some saved pictures you could share?
I like the idea of using these brown coats with Panzer Commanders, but would this be historically correct? I don't remember to see tank commanders in coats on photos before.

Did we all know the Pak-40 would come with a figure?
I also remember a possible pak-40 crew in the works?

When I have a DAK 251 Hanomag, and a Tiger with both Early Production cupola and Late Production steel road wheels, I'm not gonna let a little thing like historical accuracy stand in my way.
I personally don't have a link, but one of the guys here has posted a photo of the prototype DAK figure(s?) on at least one occasion. I'll see what I can rustle up.
Okay, here's the link to that thread,

I guess what looked familiar to me was the goggle head sculpt. 21C did a nice job on the new molds.

thanks very much, flpickupman (and Razor of course) for showing this picture. To be honest, I would prefer this colors over the green too. But let's not forget the pics we have seen so far are only production samples. The final products may look very different when they are in stores.
