"The Big Red One" was a favorite of mine as well. I'd like to see it myself as well.

The Longest Day

In terms of which is my favorite flick, then it's gotta go to Band of Brothers. But as someone else pointed out, in terms of types of figs, we pretty much have the all components to make Band-like figs --- D-Day paratroopers, Market Garden, Battle of the Buldge --- all the pieces are there in figs already produced.

So in terms of which would I want made into figs, then my choice is The Longest Day. This would give us Brits, French Resistance, Germans, and US!

I also liked the Bridge Too Far suggestion for the same reason -- Polish and British paratroopers! Sweet!

my absolute most wanted would be the longest day, there would be a ton of potential there.
i think tora tora tora could have some good stuff too.
