POST PAK 40 & NEW HALFTRACK FINDS AND DISCUSSION HERE!
While doing WM recon today I found the 1:18 scale Pak-40! They had one left on the shelf. It is packaged in the mid size vehicle box and sells for 24.99. I have not liberated it from it's packaging so I don't know for certain what all is included. Might wanna strart hitting the Wal Marts again. I found it here in the Rocky Mountains! Think I might be the first one to see it? I think I will send someone pics to post them up for me... Digger, can you help me out? I know you have the ability.

I see one German packaged in the front window... I have a strong hunch that we might get a single carded Pak-40 crewman to add to build up the complete crew. I also see shells and 3 wood crates inside the window area. The Pak looks awesome all painted up! I am waiting for my camera battery to charge

Cool find
That is certainly a piece I want to get, but as of today, none of the Wal Marts in my immediate area have gotten anything new. Why the heck does it appear in the Rocky Mtn area? Thats the first for a new release there! I don't think it will bode well for arriving in my area anytime soon, but wierd things happen. Really glad to hear it comes with a figure and all the accessories!

aferg! thanks for making this a sticky, Good idea as I hope lots of people chime in and find it soon too!
By the way it is German Grey with some mud splatter paint on the wheels and on the lower armor skirting.
I just sent pictures to Digger in a PM. I just hope he is near a computer to help post them up for me... I suck at loading pictures up

WOW
VERY COOL - the rounds alone are almost worth the price. I hope the same are included with the halftrack.
Looks to me from a couple of these photos that Zach took a souvenir home from "The Chocolate Factory" that he wasn't telling us about..
And he's still lucky enough to find them first!
Without further ado:

Wow
Thanks Digger for posting the pics, and that Pak-40 looks awesome! I see the figure doesn't look much different from the BoB German Open Coat figure (w/o the coat) so it will be pretty easy to amass a decent crew, should the guns ever show in my area. I hope these get good coverage!

I love it!
I wasnt really interested in a cannon before, but now I really want one!
I hope you can attach it to the tow hitch on the Hanomag

The Pak-40 indeed does hitch up nicely onto the back of the Hanomag. It was the first thing I did with my pink version.
The Pak-40 has a recoiled of "fired" position. as well as a loaded or "fire" position. There is also a removable shovel on the front as well as other moving parts. It can be positioned in a tow configuration or a stationary position. The Gun also raises and lowers slightly and has a good amount of motion from right to left.
The Pink Pak is indeed a parting gift from 21st Century Toys. Last time I was there (2 or 3 weeks ago) My family was with me. The Pink cannon was a gift to my daughter who immediately turned it into a flower vase by putting a flower down the business end.
She actually likes to keep it on display next to her dad's collection. She gets a kick out of showing people her Pink cannon. It sure stands out against all the drab greens and Greys of the rest of the line. She understands that it is rare and it makes her like it even more. It made her feel special that 21st would give it to her, even if she thought it made a better vase!
Take it from me though... it's much cooler in Battlefield grey! You guys are gonna love this piece. Also I got the price wrong earlier it was 24.00 and some change AFTER tax. it retails for about 22.00.
