My new woodpile

Post by lsc1002 » Wed Oct 04, 2006 2:52 pm

I was trimming some of the small trees in my backyard and decided to see if I could use some of the branches for diorama. I cut the branches up into small pieces and made a woodpile. What do you guys think? :?

I like it! The woodpile goes very well with the Hayloft set.

It would be cool if you had some allied soldiers hiding behind/in or around the wood pile...
Very nice.

Looks great, btw, where did you get that gunner's sight??

I hadn't seen that before.

Thanks,

Thanks for the kind words guys.

dfoos, The gunner sight is made by Verlinden for 120mm figures which is like 1/16 scale, product number 696. I trimmed the bottom of the legs so it would be the correct height and it works great. I have had it for a while but found it last weekend cleaning my hobby room. It was in pieces and has seen better days. I hope this helped.

Lance,

Wow! That looks great!

But I think you have wayyyy too much time on your hands, especially using that tiny axe! :D

Very nice! :)

Love the Ax in the "block".

If you have extra branches, might consider making a machine gun nest. A lot of the ones constructed in the field were just chopped down trees placed log cabin style.

Hey ISC1002---Great job!!! :D I think SCOPE UK said it best---simple but very effective!!!!Things like the ax in the block and how the wood is stacked are what make dios look great---just that extra touch goes a long way!!!! :D Again great idea!!! :D ---RED---
