Schleich v. bbi Knights
I was wondering if anyone knows how the two of these compare?
I have been collecting the Schleich Knights because my wife wants to decorate the nursurey in a fairy tale set up (no--no children yet; we are simply pre-planning)

the bbi are a fair bit better in my opinion. Better detailed, painting, sculpts. That said i use both and have both displayed together but the BBI ones are definitely the better quality of the two..
The newer series of the Schleich knights are better than their older series, so they must be feeling the heat from bbi.
I still like both, however.

Quixote511, I just got a great deal on a set of 9 bbi Knights, including 2 mounted. My wife and I were shopping tonight at BJ's Wholesale Club (it's like a Sam's Club or Costco - BJ's is a NE regional, I believe), and I was amazed to see this set for $19.99.
I'm collecting the bbi Romans but had not planned on getting any of the Knights. But for around $20 for 9 figures, I could not pass it up. As my wife said, "Get them, or you'll regret it."
Maybe some of the other wholesale clubs have them too, if you don't have a BJ's in your area.

Tinman, that is awesome for so many reasons..A) that is a steal of a deal, your wife was right that it was a good purchase! B) BBI in other stores is great news, maybe the best news all month C) I love bulk packs D) We actually have BJs in Queens!

Thanx! Well, I hope they stick around for a while then. I am originally from Buffalo and there is a BJ's out in the burbs I can check when I go to visit my sis and her fam this Christmas.

bbi knights
I see the bbi Knights are going to be 3 for 10 on TRU.com soon
Not bad, especially when they have free shipping. If they get the Romans I may be in trouble..

bbi knights
They have them now:Quixote511 wrote:How soon do you foresee this happening? I might have to stock up.

I would be suspect but I remember Amazon had a similar deal right before they split with TRU. Actually on Amazon I think they were marked further - maybe to about $7 for 3, but that was towards the bitter end when stock was low and deals were absurd. Huge $40 playsets were down to like 6 or 8 bucks. I was thinking about King Kong island for my Marines to mess around on...
